So we love making zoodles in our house and I’ve tried a few spiralizers over the past few years. I’ve come to prefer handhelds because they’re easier to wash and most tend to create less waste. My mother in law has an electrical one but to use it, you have to cut the zucchini in half as well as cut the ends off which yields fewer zoodles per zucchini. Not a big deal, but then to wash all the parts after never felt worth it to me. My favorite handheld was cone shaped and the clip finally broke in a way it was no longer usable. I bought a few other spiralizers and didn’t love them because they were equally wasteful or just too hard to use or clean. BUT THIS ONE!! I spiralizers 2 large zucchini in less than 5 minutes with minimal waste. The larger portion of waste was the middle which I’m okay with because that part tends to be too mushy when cooked anyway. This device also yielded slightly broader zoodles than other ones I’ve used but we ended up liking the broader noodles better as they kept a better texture overall. Would definitely recommend!

These are awesome! I put them underneath the sinks in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. I feel much safer knowing that my daughter can’t get into trouble if I’m not right beside her. These locks were easy to install and they’re easier to use.

So far they haven’t gotten stuck or jammed like ones I’ve used in the past. They’re great for keeping her little hands off things that she is t meant to touch.

  3. Lindsay

Great product. My spirals look great and this product is easier to use than I thought it was going to be. I like that it is also small and doesn’t take up a bunch of valuable cupboard space. I have already recommended it to several people!

I’ve owned other handheld zoodle makers in the past, but each was eventually banished to Goodwill for one reason or another. They all failed in some critical way. But I did not give up: I was determined to find a hand-held zoodle maker that was small, easy-to-use, safe to use, and simple to clean. This product checks all of those boxes.

    What I like:
    – It’s small, but not too small. This makes is easier for me to hold than some of the smaller devices.
    – If used as designed, my fingers stay nice and protected from the blade.
    – It’s easy to clean; most of the time it seems to require only a bit of rinsing with hot water.
    – It doesn’t get jammed up.
    – It is a cheerful color and easy to spot in the cupboard/dish strainer.
    – It makes nicely shaped zoodles in two sizes (although they might not be as thin as what some people might like)

I’ve eaten more zucchini in the last few weeks than I have in the last few years, all thanks to this little device. It’s nice to add a new veggie into my regular rotation!

This product is so much easier and faster to use to make vegetable noodles than my mandala, and they look better! I used the default setting, didn’t like how wide the noodles were, so switched it to the black & white setting and zipped through half of a large zucchini in moments. Love, love, love this. It’s my new favorite kitchen gadget.

My wife and I love this spiraler!! It is small, but very easy to use and clean. Perfect for the price! We have wanted to try spiraled zucchini and now it’s the only way we eat zucchini anymore! Requires very little pressure and easy to turn veggies. The only minor downside is you have to stop every 10 or so turns to remove the core or it will not spiral as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something small and affordable!

I was surprised at how impressive this little spiralizer is. I decided to make a sausage, sauerkraut, potato, and onion bake. I used a large russet potato and white onion. The ease of use was a big plus. Simple instructions right on the box so you don’t have to deal with a booklet. The instructions are clear and concise, and adjusting the size of the spirals is so easy. The spiral shapes (ribbon, fettuccine, spaghetti), as seen in the photo, came out perfectly. The small metal cylinder in the center acts as a stabilizer and corer (nobody wants the tough, reedy/seedy parts in their zoodles!). The blade cuts with ease, so it is minimal effort on your part. I also love the ease of storage and washing. There are only 3 pieces: the plastic guard comes off easily with a twist, the blades needn’t be separated from the center piece, and the food holder is convenient for when you get down to just the end nub of food to spiralize so you don’t cut yourself. A quick rinse and it’s in the strainer to dry. It takes up very little space as it’s so compact. I use the box it came in to store it. I’ve owned a couple of other compact spiralizers and this is the best one yet!

  8. Julia Dove

Item package well, but pretty much fell apart when I tried to use it. Oh well.

  9. Referencegirl

I’ve had a full size spiralizer with extra blades and a turn crank. I left it behind when I left a partner and going back to get it wasn’t worthwhile. It worked out because this smaller cheaper gadget is so much better. It is easier to use, to clean, to store, and works better to actually spiralize veggies. Perfect.

  10. S. E. Martin

I love this Spiralizer because it is quick & easy to use on zucchini & other small items. If you cut larger vegetables, or fruits, into small chunks it should work well on those also. I used it on a quartered yam & it worked perfectly.

This is a great buy if you want to try out making zucchini or carrot strips or even yam strips. I may never set up the larger spiralizer again.

  11. Tannis

I searched online for the best spiralizer and this one was recommended. They were right! This thing is a little taxing on the wrist but the zoodles I get out of it are perfect. My daughter and I eat zoodles 3 to 4 times a week and I’ve even used it on onions for salads.

  12. mh

Since there are just two of us to cook for most days this spiralizes/slices everything I need it to easily and quickly. This one might require too much elbow grease if continuously cooking for a big family though.

I suffer some arthritis in my hands and wrists but using this for a couple of veggies at a go didn’t bother me. It would be a lot harder on my hands (eyes and sanity too) trying to do all that fancy cutting with a knife. If the burden is too great at holidays, well, other hands can turn the dial for me.

I’m overall very happy with this product because I didn’t want to store anything bigger nor did I want a model that required batteries or electrical outlets.

This unit cleans well. I just tap it to clear anything that might be stuck in the blade as soon as I finish using it then give it a hot rinse. Then when I’m ready to do dishes I swish it through hot sudsy water and rinse well. I can foresee it becoming trickier to clean if I let stuck fruit or veg dry up on the blades. However a hot soak and a careful scrub with a bottle brush would probably take care of that problem. What I wouldn’t do is put my fingers anywhere near those razor sharp blades.

That is a another point to consider. If you have young kids, be sure to supervise them should they want to use this. Lock it away afterward. This cute little thing is fun to use and looks a lot like a toy but it really isn’t one. Unless they are told, kids won’t realize that it can be a danger.

This spiralizer is a useful little workhorse that sufficiently replaces an old broken mandolin, weighs next to nothing, and requires less than 4 x 4 x 4 inches to store in a drawer or cupboard, all of which made it the perfect addition to my already cluttered kitchen.

  13. OS Xman

The flat blade cuts the veggies into a flat piece but the two vertical blades do not cut through the flat piece to “spiralize” them. They simply score the flat piece. I can julienne veggies with a knife MUCH faster. Not worth the effort!

  14. Sam B

This is my first spiralizer and it is great! I didn’t want to get a massive countertop one as I use it for meal prepping which usually consists of about four zucchinis. This was the perfect size and fits great in my kitchen drawer. It was very easy to clean and use as well. I like that there are multiple settings as well. Overall, I would highly recommend for small amounts of cooking! My hand did get a bit sore after a few zucchinis so I wouldn’t plan on slicing a ton at once with it.

  15. kevin santangelo

It’s so nice to have a no carb option when my family wants pasta and even better that it is so easy to use and store. It is a great little handheld tool to sneak some veggies into my kid’s dinner

  16. Kat_0901

I bought this versus a large spiralizer in order to have a smaller item for our small kitchen. It works well for what it is. I did cut myself on the outside blades–they are sharp! I use it for zuchini. The zuchini I’ve bought at the store has been on the smaller side (out of season) and I think it makes it harder to spiralize on this. My hands do tire and it takes a little bit of time. Gotta have some patience with this tool. Also, the white top with stakes that holds the food item in place is very hard to clean since the spikes are sharp and close together.

  17. SSBDW

Took ma a bit to figure it out because the instructions aren’t really clear but once done it’s easy to use and works great. I use it mainly for zucchini spirals to add to salads and potato spirals to make hash browns

  18. DS

Will not spiralize carrots, they turn out as half moons…. beets did ok, but too thick even on the small blade setting.
doesn’t look like the photos shown.
    don’t bother with it.
don’t know how it got so many great reviews.

  19. Jalynn07

I’m actually really impressed with the quality of these safety locks! And they’re not incredibly confusing to use like other ones I’ve used. These are going to great in a few months when our new little one starts walking. It was pretty easy to install-no screws! Just peek and stick. It comes with four which is great because I can use in both bathrooms and the kitchen. Overall, i really like this product!

  20. Debbie Erickson

This spiralizer is small and does not take up a lot of space, which I find to be a huge plus. I love that there are three spiral cut size options and that you can change the size with a push of a button. This spiralizer is easy to use and easy to clean. I would recommend to others as a good value!

  21. echo21

The price is right and if you haven’t had spiralized veggies, this is probably a good way to find out if you like them. But, it is tedious to use (it does work fine though). And it was perfect for the one cuke recipe I had that called spiral cuke “noodles”. However if I wanted to do more than a recipe or two a year I would go ahead and buy an electric one.

  22. kijongshon

its very fast shipping. the product is very light and easy to use. it has two mode so can choose cutting style. best part is very easy to clean.

  23. Kari

This spiralizer is a really great product. I Love that there is no need for changing out blades just press a button to change how it cuts. It doesn’t take much work to create perfect spirals, it’s easy to clean, and compact enough to put in a drawer. You can make perfectly spiraled veggies very fast it has 3 different spirals 1 button is for fettuccine, 1 is for spaghetti, and the default is for ribbon. The buttons are very easy to press and the product feels sturdy. The food holder is great for keeping fingers away from the blade and using the entire vegetable. All in all this is a great product with a great price, it is definitely worth the money and I highly recommend it.

  24. NAR

It’s ok, good price for quality of it. Makes good zucchini pasta

  25. CChow

I was so impressed with this tool after my first use. Made some gorgeous zucchini noodles effortlessly. I love that this tool is smaller than other veggie noodle tools so it doesn’t take much space to store. Also, I’m not worried about possibly cutting myself Unlike my previous veggie noodle tool. Definitely a great purchase!

  26. Diane Slusher

Fresh zucchini noodles are a game changer. Never use frozen ones again. This little device is affordable, easy to use and easy to store. I did not want a big gadget that just took up more storage space. This easily does the job and makes two different width of “zoodles”.

  27. KP

I love pasta, could have it almost every day, but obviously that hasn’t been doing well for my waistline. I saw “zoodles” in the supermarket and wanted to try them, but didn’t like the price tag. I saw using a handheld spiralizer would be a cheap way to get the same product, so I ordered this one. It was so easy to use and clean, and my healthier pasta meals are tasting perfectly fine. The size and shape of the zucchini is exactly the same as spaghetti, even though obviously the taste will never be exactly the same.

  28. Brittany

Good for small jobs which is perfect for me. Easy to use, easy to clean. Doesn’t take up much space to store.

  29. Beelissa

I was probably holding it wrong — and I admit, I wasn’t using the plastic thing you’re supposed to use to hold the zucchini in place — and I managed to cut off the very tip of my finger. It’s healed now, but I’ll be more careful next time. It’s quite sharp. Having given that warning, this is more compact than other slicers that do something similar. The spirals it makes are not really like spaghetti. More like long egg noodles. They can be very long unless you cut them.

  30. Alex V

I took me about 4 minutes to do one zucchini….. just not useful, poorly designed. I dont use it, wish I bought a bigger one as this is just to slow. Plus you waste some of the vegetable.

  31. Rich Krikorian

It’s a bit of a workout for your wrists and hands if you have to do spiralize more than one zucchini say for one person or a single meal. Any more than that it’s a bit of a chore. Hard to grasp. I turn the spiralizer and hold zucchini in place rather than other way around. Also, difficult to clean. Vegetable peelings get stuck under the blade and it’s hard to clean well. For the price I guess it’s ok

  32. Annie Thornburg

Be very careful! Easy to get cut!

  33. Teena

I absolutely love this little gadget. It makes cutting zoodles so easy. I have disabilities in both hands so I wondered if this would work for me. Wow! So easy to use. I mainly use it on zucchini and it slices like butter. I can hold it easily but I don’t use the top part (white) until I am close to done. I just push the zucchini on the blades and turn it until I get close to the end. It is so neat I’m thinking about getting one for all the cooks my Family.

  34. Ted F.

For the price it’s a great little knick-knack. That said, the volume held in the “compartment” and the level of effort is a bit much. It’s great for a single person making a small meal, but trying to slice a full zucchini or 2 will wear out your arm and make you empty the chamber multiple times.

  35. stacy philip

this handheld Adoric spiralizer has 3 blades and doesnt need a battery! I love the way I can switch between sizes with a press of a button! It easily curls veggies and fruit! my kids love the new noodles every night. I highly recommend this nifty product.

  36. lvunot7980

3 blades handheld and doesn’t need battery, Amazing for the price . I love this .

  37. Jax

Totally pulverized my zucchini…. turned it into liquified produce. Yuck… would not recommend!

  38. Pippen

I bought this to add variety & healthy options to my diet by substituting pasta with zucchini & other veggies-I use this thing all the time! It works great and does exactly what I had hoped for. It’s quick & easy to use. I think the design should have included a handle, as holding the round device while turning can feel a little awkward. This thing is definitely worth the price and hardly takes up any space in the cupboard. Really happy with this purchase.

  39. BonnyB

Had to go buy veggies that I could turn into spiral masterpieces! Tried yellow squash & tossed it in a pan with olive oil…WOW. Then some ribbon cucumbers….dazzling the crowd by now, and topped it off with spiral sweet potato fries. Notice my bowing to all the applause…..little tricky to clean because the blade is pretty sharp! Thanks for a very nice product.

  40. M

Surpassed my expectations! This is a cute great item that works! And it’s petite, which is perfect for my small space. I’ve had fun making long noodles w/ beets (see photo of beet-spaghetti :), cucumbers & zucchini so far. Looking forward to sweet potato & butternut squash. The only thing I’ve had challenge w/ so far is carrot~ I think I’ll need a very WIDE carrot, to successfully spiralize longer noodles (w/ average carrot, once I press it onto “corer/stand”, outer part of carrot splits a bit simply due to carrot-narrowness~ what comes out the blade are individual thin crescent-moon curves, rather than long noodles. still very cute & tasty).
As one reviewer wrote, this spiralizer-size/model is good, when cooking for 1-2 (would be a bit more elbow-grease/wrist-action than ideal for larger crowds~ you’ll prob want to invest in bigger one w/ crank handle for mechanical advantage, for that).
    Love it! Really fantastic.

Updating review: Some new helpful tips, observations, & more photos~ now that I’ve had many opportunities to use this great item:

~Actual use of instrument~ I’ve found placing the veggie on blade/top-surface & pressing down firmly, then turning the *actual spiralizer base” as it’s pressed against counter-top or plate (not turning the veggie), works best/smoothly, & less tiring on the wrists (when I tried turning the veggie on the blade, while pressing down, was more awkward / bumpy.)
~Root veggies work very easily! Beets, carrots & sweet potatoes all spiralize superbly as “spaghetti” (see photos).
~Carrot note: At first I had difficulty with them splitting, but now have discovered 2 solutions: (a)wider carrots do indeed work more succesfully. (b) However, not necessary since~ surprisingly~ simply allowing the carrot to be a little less crisp/ slightly-“deydrated” (I leave carrot in fridge, w/o plastic bag keeping moisture in) makes it “rubbery” enough to spiralize w/o splitting! It works great.
~Summer squash is lovely too (ie- zucchini).
~Cooking times~ All noodles cook way faster than the same veggies normally do, when chopped or cubed (of course). So~ keep it fast, once noodles hit the boiling water. Re. zucchini/summer-squash esp~ you hardly need to cook these noodles at all (just super-quick “flash” in boiling water)~ this keeps the noodles perky; otherwise they can get way mushy (happened to me the first couple tries, when I left in boiling water too long).
~Cucumbers~ I find these are most attractive either as “ribbons” (see 2nd photo) or as “fettucine” (see 3rd picture). Tho’ they can be spiralized as the thinner “spaghetti” too, I found their soft seeds/center pulped up amidst the “spaghetti” noodles & looked a li’l messy (looks more “crisp” as ribbon or fettucine).

    Yum.
    Enjoy.

~The only food I did not have great success with was butternut squash. I thought it would be perfect (soft yet firm) but once noodles are cooked, they really crumble. I tried “spaghetti” first which crumbled even before cooked; then tried “fettucine” which held well raw, but broke up on plate, once cooked (see 3rd photo, butternut squash ‘broken” fettucini underneath perky carrot “spaghetti”). I guess it’s texture is just a bit too crumbly non-cohesive for hanging out as long noodles.

Interesting little tool and easy to use once you get the hang of it. Made a salad for dinner last night and with sliced vegetables the salad was delicious. I actually do not care for Radishes and with them being sliced so thin I actually enjoyed them. Can’t wait to try it with more stuff~! Recommend this for those who like to make things a little fancy.

  42. Sarah and Nate

This product was even better than I expected! I have a 3 little girls and they have figured out every cabinet lock I have tried. These came quick. The only issue we have found is if you have a larger spaced cabinet this product will not work you need a larger size 1. I found this size works best on my bathroom cabinets. For my kitchen cabinets that are more spaced out this size will not work.

  43. Cat

The spirals break easily if it is not centered. But once you get the hang of it…
